Healing Begins When You Take Ownership

One of the biggest lies we believe is that our mental health is out of our control.
Yes, there are things that influence our mental health that are out of our control, yes, there are personality disorders that you can’t magically make go away, and yes, the trauma that caused your anxiety and depression was out of your control.
But taking ownership of your mental health is your responsibility.
Taking ownership means finding ways to heal your trauma, finding supplements that boost serotonin levels, exploring plant medicines that calm an overactive amygdala, speaking with a therapist to find the tools to navigate your mental health, and for many, it means finding the right medications to balance you out.
I was faced with the harsh reality that if I didn’t face and heal the trauma that had wrapped itself around the core of my being, then I would never flourish into the woman I desired to be. I would forever fear intimacy, lash out at those trying to love me, fear abandonment, continue to self-sabotage, and would ultimately end up taking my own life.
I turned to subconscious reprogramming, meditation, inner child work, affirmations, reading, drinking pure cacao, taking vitamin D3, 5-HTP, Lion's Mane, and microdosing to heal my traumas, my anxiety, my depression, and put an end to my suicidal ideation. I chose to unfollow anxiety meme pages, to distance myself from people who didn’t have the best intentions for me, set boundaries with those I love and changed the way I spoke to myself.
In short, I decided healing was my responsibility, and I took that responsibility very seriously.
My loves, your mental health is your responsibility, and it is something you can take control of.
I know it’s heavy to consider, I know it feels impossible, but trust me, you can come out of that heavy cloud, and you can reprogram your subconscious to change the way you see yourself and the world.
I love you, I support you, and I believe in you 💙
